Review of Cellar N1 from 6 March 2010

Not a bad little wine / cocktail bar in the Regents Quarter development of King's Cross, although when I went it was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. The cocktails were yummy (they've got a BOGOF offer going on Vouchercloud at the moment until the end of March), so for £3 a cocktail it was an absolute bargain. I'd recommend the bar for a catch-up with good friends, but if you're after a bit more fun/atmosphere, head somewhere else.

Review of Cellar N1 from 10 December 2008

This is a new small, cozy bar, with lots of padded leather sofas, perfect for a drink away from prying eyes. Hidden in the Regents Quarter off Caledonian Street, it’s near the Eurostar hq. At the moment its decorated with lots of xmas lights and candles, very festive.

Main reason to drink here is the cocktails, featuring lots of original creations by the bar’s resident master of beverages, Monsieur Mason. Mason will knock up anything you like, for an extra charge, or you can sample his originals from the bar menu. Best is probably the Cream Dream, replete with flake. They cost just under a fiver. Ask him for an original and that’s a quid extra.

Bar also does wine tasting, and if you go on a quiet night Mason may well be up for a game of backgammon or chess (if you bring the board.)
