Leander

I wish I could write something nice regarding Leander but my experience last Sunday was not good.
We arrived at 10:30 for Breakfast to find one waitress dealing with a already busy restaurant. We received a menu but waited almost 20 mins for our order to be taken. Meanwhile the second waitress arrived only to start writing the schnitzel menu on the board!
We ordered a large breakfast and English breakfast which took more than an hour to prepare. When we asked why it had taken so long we were told that ‘several people had not reserved and the kitchen ran out of rolls!’ Although the English Breakfast was good I was expecting more than just 2 types of cheese and Wurst from the large breakfast. The quality was nothing special.
We were really disappointed by the long wait and ok food. Which is a shame as the location and atmosphere were great.

We discovered this place the other day on the way back from Frankfurter Allee.

Just looking for some coffee and fast breakfast we took a seat (outside) and had a bagel and a coffee. Both fresh made and pretty good (I had a turkey-something-bagel with avocado and my friend had one with mozzarella), coffee’s also.

There are lots of things on the menu, the prices are more than alright, A Friedrichshain-classic - it’s a bargain really. Bagels were between 3 and 4 EUR. The service was very nice and there is just nothing to complain about. I guess for a 5/5 I need to go back some time and try more stuff. :)
