Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre

I was extremely disappointed when I visited Springfields pony park with my grand daughters. The whole place is neglected and run down, shabby tatty and uncared for. It looked like the grass had not been cut all season, it actually came up to my grand daughters knee, and was full of stinging nettles. The " train " ride round the park lasted less than 5 mins, after it took 10 mins to jump start the thing. The few animals that were there were kept in poor conditions, the pens were filthy and stinking. I was particularly concerned about a duck that was unable to walk and was dragging itself along on its belly,but was told that it was okay just had a balance problem. The staff had obviously had enough and it showed in their attitude, with the exception of one lady the staff could not be bothered and if they were asked anything it was an effort for them to be polite, in fact they could not even be polite, the woman working in the cafe was most put out when she had to get off her chair to take my money. On leaving we were told we could have free return vouchers which we declined, I would not return to Springfields even for free and would certainly not recommend it to any one else. Oh yes, the children came out covered in bites.

Springfields is a fantastic place to take the kids for a day.

There’s so much to keep them occupied trampolines outside, a chance to pet and feed the small animals, pony rides, rowing boats to take out on their small lake, mini diggers for the kids to play with in the sandpit and lots of other fun activities!

They also have a cafe and a lovely little shop to buy some springfields branded gifts in to take home!

It really does make for a fun day out with the kids, and actually can be made to last all day without them getting bored, so well worth the entrance fee. Highly recommended!!!
