There is always an expectation of great fish & chips when you’re by the coast, which rather pushes the standard high for coastal chippies!
But 'Skippers’ didn’t disappoint in terms of taste and quality. Nice healthy-sized portions of fresh white fish and chunky golden chips, the portions were just right.
Service at lunchtimes can be a little hit-and-miss (although admittedly we were there in high season) and you might have to wait five minutes or so.
But consider it a few minutes well spent. Grab your food and go eat by the water’s edge, it’s also worth the short walk, for a little oasis of traditional bliss!
