Excellent friendly pub, clean and well furnished with decent pub facilities and top class ones in the adjoining hotel. Staff are very welcoming and is a great place to watch sport. Was fantastic during the 2010 football World Cup decked out with flags of all of the countries, so everyone felt welcomed. Attached to a hotel so guaranteed to meet a nice variety of people from around the world.
Reasonably priced, lots of TV screens, seats and tables. Food is great and catering for private parties is excellent too. During the summer there was outside seating and a barbecue, felt almost like being on holiday. Definitely recommend this for the range of drinkers from large groups wanting a drink and snacks down to a person just looking for somewhere to pop into to have a sit down and a few drinks alone.
Must say I haven't seen the live folk music mentioned in some write ups but there is a juke box which can be fun.
