12€ for 1h on a Pedalo (treetboot) for 2 people
or 14€ for 4 people.

rudern is a bit more expensive probably 16€/hour.

I dont know the usual rates in the bootsvermietung business, but isnt 12€/hour a tad bit too expensive?

considering we got a Pedalo, which originally was used in zürich in the 1940s i presume.

It was one ugly thing. Really old. and quite rusty.

But the trip through the alster canals was worth it.

We were away for 70 minutes but paid only for 60 minutes, which is fair enough.

I am not sure if id rent another treetboot from that place.. besides the less-than-desirable condition of the "boat", the location of the shop is at the very beginning of the Big Alster by the kennedy bridge.

Maybe next time id rent from a shop which is directly by a canal, or at least in the middle of the alster, so we wouldnt waste too much time pedalling inside the alster lake - which is rather boring.
