Not for vegetarians... this is the real thing for meat lovers. The restaurant is part of the Smithfield meat market, which is itself worth a visit.

The restaurant is in a beautiful old building with open brickwork and dark leather chairs. The food is simple but the ingredients are excellent (well the meat anyway). They serve traditional British fare - heavy on meat of course but you can also eat eels and other English delicacies.

Prices are on the high side - possibly too high for what you get your plate. That, with sometimes distracted service, are the only downsides.
