Awesome! Went summer and have been on a thin crust quest since. If you want authentic Roma style Italian pizza Amato’s Patisserie has it!!! Plus, the owner of the shop is totally cool and they’ve decorated like a real Italian restaurant in Rome. They have always given us excellent service.

Best Italian food in Soho..It can be quite pricey when you start with the wine and mains, but pastas are very reasonable. It is definitely worth it.

Aaaah… what can I say, as a cake lover, this place is paradise - simply because they serve the best cakes in London!
As a baker myself, I usually hesitate when it comes to ordering cakes, as I know exactly how much sugar and butter goes into those thing! It can be quite a nightmare… !
But I end to close a blind eye to the desserts at Amato, because they are truly and sinfully good!
The sponge cakes are fluffily soft, the mousse and creams simply melt in the mouth…
Each delectable bite just makes you crave for more..!

Used to go here when i worked nearby just to experience their ridiculously large cream doughnuts. Seriously, these things are about the size of your head and have their own gravitational pull - they’re that big.
Other than that, Amatos do a good range in pastries and cakes as well as sandwiches and other snacks. Around Christmas it’s worth popping by just to admire the window display!

I love their cakes. It’s better than Valerie. The coffee is simply fantastic. A must try if you are in the area of Soho, London.

Magical patisserie with a gorgeous range of beautiful cakes in the window, with enough variety to give you that 'kid in the candy shop’ moment. Choosing is the best part, but also very difficult! The coffee is also very good here, so ideal spot for an afternoon coffee and cake session, but they do also serve lunch.
The prices are quite reasonable for the type of product, and its not too busy if you avoid peak times.
The staff were very friendly when I went, and the service was quick. My boyfriend was also impressed that his teapot produced three cups of tea, so all in all its got to be good news!

Cake…. As a total cake enthusiast, I’m always looking for places that serve great cake. Amato is one such place. It’s hard to even walk past the shop without staring at the mouthwatering display in the window. It seems as if this institution has had a bit of a spruce up recently, hopefully not a change in management, as my last visit was let down by disappointing service . Still, the coffee is great, prices are very reasonable and the cake is delectable. Mmm. Cake. Only problem is deciding which one to have..

I bought a birthday cake from Amato 2 weeks ago. Tried various time to place order online but with no success. So I called up the restaurant. The lady who took my order was exceptionally friendly. She recommends a cake, after asking a few simple question. This is the sort of service that is almost extint in London these days. It is not pricey too. I am looking forward to go back with my husband this weekend for a slice of cake!

The cakes really are to die for!! This is a wonderful place. Coffee is also fantastic. A real favourite of mine. Staff are also really friendly. The prices are definitely worth it.

I always find the staff at Amato consistently friendly and constantly on the move, probably to address the constant influx of patrons coming to either have a sit down lunch, or to take one of their gorgeous looking cakes or pastries away. Sometimes it gets so busy you end up sharing a table with some other people, but it’s a friendly enough atmosphere that it shouldn’t really worry you.
Their hot chocolate here is like liquid chocolate and sometimes a bit too much to really drink. Decadence in a cup! I’d definitely recommend having a coffee instead of the hot chocolate if you’re thinking about a piece of cake since you probably don’t want to have too much of a sugar rush (or maybe you do!)
A great place to have some food, or to buy some fantastic cakes to take home.

I went here the other day, man was that slice of cake good!! I like the place a lot, the people are friendly and atmosphere is friendly. Not so keen on the decor, but the food is the main important part, and it is a winner.
The prices are alright, especially if you’re snacking in Soho. Really great spot to people watch, if you are sitting in the outer part.
The coffee is great as well, had an espresso and damn was that strong! it woke me up for a few hours. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, especially to those who like to have some chill out time in the heart of the city.

Whenever it’s someone’s birthday in our office, we pool all our money and head down to Amato’s for one of their AMAZING cakes. They look fantastic, but the best part, is that they teaste even better.
There’s a vast array of pastries and smaller cakes to choose from too but one personal favourite is the vanilla cream-filled donuts that are so big, they have their own gravitational pull. That might be why I’m in there all the time…

Good god I’ve died and gone to heaven. Now I do fancy myself a connoisseur of the squashy cake. Anything soaked in liquer and drenched in cream…well it’s certainly not for the squeamishly health conscious. But sometimes you have to live life like you mean it! Amato is often packed, with people standing outside drooling at the display window. You may wait just a few minutes for service, but who are you kidding? It is sooooo worth the wait. If you are that impatient, get your cake to go. Try one of their giant doughnuts, filled to the breaking point, bet you can’t finish it all yourself (oink). They do amazing wedding cakes too, such a wow factor people will think you’ve spent far more than you actually have.
Sweet Jesus the cakes look good in here. I’d just had a huge pizza but my eye was caught by the mouth watering window display in Amato (see pics). I ended up picking up some biscuits which i am currently wolfing down with my cup of tea. Perfect. When i come back i will write more. But i hope the pics speak for themselves!
p.s Look at the size of those doughnuts!
