Bad Taste Club, St. Pauli, Hamburg

Bad Taste seems to be a "Rockabilly" bar. not sure what makes this place "Rockabilly" aside from the crowd that frequents this place (and the flaming skulls on the lamps), but it was, nonetheless.

I've been here several times for Hendrik's mashup parties, all of which I wish I could enjoy more:

- If the place wasn't completely packed
- If 90% of the folks weren't smoking at once
- If there was more seating
- If there was more dancefloor space

I'd like to come back here for a punk rock night in the hopes that few enough people like punk rock that I'll have a place to sit. \m/

- too smokey, check
- kicker table, check

You get the picture. Bars like Bad Taste are everywhere in Hamburg. there's nothing wrong with the bar as such, there's just nothing special either.

„Bad Taste“ has actually always been more like good taste!
It‘s a friendly bar at the very end of Hamburger Berg frequented by an unpretentious audience.
Cool interior painted entirely in red and decorated with a lot of tacky kitsch.
Most nights they have some good music on (varying between Punkrock, Rock, Britpop, Indie, Wave/Electro or (nu-)Metal).
Plus there‘s a little dance floor at the back of the bar for the restless.
Drinks there are cheap (Happy Hour in operation!) and staff are friendly enough.
It‘s a great place for kicking off a good night out - or for just sitting around, talking a lot of non-sense and drinking the night away.
