This is Waterstones flagship store and it is deserving of the name. It is absolutely enormous and yet the staff on each floor can unerringly guide you tot the most obscure volume. It is wonderful for browsing and has every possible category of books you can imagine. The travel section and the children’s section especially is very nice. They frequently have author readings and book signings and their Harry Potter party was fabulous. The coffee shops are also nice to rest your feet and feast yourself on the books you have just bought.

Situated on Piccadilly in the former Simpsons of Piccadilly building, this is a large and beautiful outlet of Waterstone's bookstores. Nice choice of coffee places (basement with Costa or 5th floor with more formal - and more expensive - coffee/restaurant area with great views over the rooftops of the capital).

The building itself is a gorgeous example of Art Deco.

This is the flagship store for Waterstone's and the selection is great; staff is also very helpful.
Nicest bookstore in the area.
