The Bruce Hotel

Eat out here with family 2 or 3 times a year and always enjoyed a good meal (and a quiet drink)

The Bruce Hotel is located on Queen Street, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire. It is set into one of the main streets in Newton Stewart so it is not easily recognisable from a distance however as you get nearer, the unassuming frontage appears. There is very limited parking on the street but they do have a small car park to the rear. When you enter you will find a quaint wee hotel, with modest decoration. The ground floor is made up of the bar and the main dining room with rooms on the first and second floor. Although modest the rooms are comfortable and represent very good value for money. The food is well presented and tasty which attracts a good local trade which is gives a bit of an indication. I have eaten here a number of times both in the bar and in the main restaurant and can say I have only had very good meals.
