The Cutting Bar

I go into the cutting bar regular  to have a trim same as I did today . The Staff always pleasent  and They always have done a good job on my hair, Always look clean and tidy, I give them 5 Stars cant fault them Been going here since it first opened,So I say keep up the good work

After using this service I can safely say NEVER AGAIN!!! Both my mother and myself used this in an emergency and Jesus what a mess they made! My mother had a completely hacked haircut and ended up not crying at the mess they made! So much she ended up not going out on a Saturday night. Now my hair they took to another level. They cut my hair so uneven and wonky and my fringe was so bad it resembled a hippos tail swinging in front of my face. They cut both side but left the middle untouched and swinging side to side as I walked! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Took my children in here to have hairs cut on the off chance, however I left feeling sooo discussed with the way my children were treated! The staff are NOT trained to deal with children and lets face it not all children enjoy someone they don't know cutting there hair! One lady turned around to my 2 year old son and said if you don't sit still you'll be leaving here with half a hair cut! She almost refused to continue! They also increase prices of children's hair cuts to mens prices at weekends/school holidays because they feel they are losing money which is disgusting if a price is set then it should remain set regardless of time/day it is! They don't ask what you would like done they assume the best for you/your child and just cut it! Bonuses here are based on the number of hair cuts they can do in one day so they rush through you to get on to the next! They also refuse to do something you request (despite the option being on the bored) if there are more than 2 people waiting to be seen! Personal conversation in the salon is much more important than talking to a customer! Usually it's what they are doing/have done at the weekend involving drink! I used this place when I have failed to get appointments in other places but in future will make appointments in "the barber shop" on broadway where they treat customers with respect they deserve! 

I would never ever go here again. I have been twice for emergencies. On entering the shop the “hairdressers” do not acknowledge you are there. Their conversation is far more important than you. After 10 minutes of being very cross they asked what I wanted.

The first time both my daughter and I were in for a wash, cut and blow dry. They refused to blow dry my hair as it was “raining outside”.

The last time was for my daughter being a bridesmaid. A wash, cut and blow dry for my daughter. They then tried to stop me from a wash and blow dry because obviously they couldn’t be bothered. I stuck to my guns and they did it.

I have never been anywhere that the customer service is so low. I suggest sacking every one of them so they can carry on with their social lives in the Broadway pub. One of my friends once had a good haircut on opening week but past that their efforts have been appalling. This place seems engineered to give primary lads shaved heads.

Should be maybe renamed the razor-blade, caters for all styles grade 1-4!
Have been growing hair out for 6 months after the last abortional cut... hey-ho back to stage one 40yrs going on 18!

Good value for money , however not a lot of people use them , I would'nt be surprised if they closed down within a year ,

I think the Cutting Bar is very good value for money, all the times I have been I have received pleasant conversation from the staff as well as an excellent hair cut. Extremely convenient when low on money, they cut hair just as good as lets say Toni and Guy, who charge ridiculous amounts of money and who I find vary with the decency of a hair cut. Furthermore, a very good business tactic to have no appointments which to my suprise has you waiting for less time which seems odd, with efficent staff and I have never had to wait for more than 5-10 minutes.

This is a great place for a trim. I always get so frustrated at having to book a time and waiting even when I have booked a time and it throws my whole weekend off. Well, this was a great change.

You basically walk in and wait for the next available hairdresser. You don’t have to get the whole shampoo and blow-dry - you can just get a 'dampdown’ and cut. For someone looking for just a trim it is absolutely perfect. They also do styling to get you ready before that night out.

Very inexpensive, this place is very popular with families. I was very satisfied with my cut. I’ve only given it 4 stars as it was a bit dirty when I went but they are working flat out there so it is understandable.

Currently they do not offer colouring as this is a 2h treatment but they may be doing so in the future.
