No matter how many times, or with however many different people you visit the Eiffel Tower with, it never fails in taking your breath away.
France in its entirety is amazingly gorgeous, the Tower just physically encompasses all of France’s beauty and glory. Honestly, I just love to go in the evening and lay with a blanket on the grass with some wine(they used to have guys selling beer and wine to you, dont know if that still happens…) and enjoy the view. Every night there is a light show around midnight which is cool to catch. Standing underneath and staring up into its vastness is also an 'unique’ expereince.

If you really really have no time, then skip going up the Eiffel tower. yes, you can view the whole Paris clearly (unless it’s foggy, which often the case during winter), but then you can’t take a proper picture because there is no Eiffel in it! And also, the second stage upwards are caged, so the picture of you will be with a cage and the view, not very beautiful. Better suggestion: take a stroll around the beautiful park in front of Eiffel and find your perfect spot and style for a photoshoot session. :)

Yes, it almost seems silly to review such a must-see landmark, but I just wanted to add that I was surprised to find how truly remarkably beautiful it actually is in person - which is not always how one feels when seeing at last something that we’ve seen in pictures and films all our lives. Great fun and a special feeling!

Obviously a “can’t miss” in Paris -- from any vantage point. It is worth it to get up to the 2nd floor, but even the architecture is stunning up close.

A well known tourist attraction in Paris.
It is a very annoying place to be near tourist attractions as there are so many people trying to con you, this somewhat ruins the 'romantic’ city and is it’s worst feature.
The Eiffel tower is a good experience and I’d recommend going to the top if you can afford it although there’s a good view from each level.
Just try not to fall for any cons and be prepared for freezing weather and a long queue time.

Well, it’s obviously iconic, and THE main attraction in Paris for a lot of people. You don’t really need to read a review of it to know what it’s like, but it might be useful to know a couple of extra things. Firstly, there are loads of beggars around here who hassle the crap out of you. This gets annoying really quickly. Secondly, the queues are often insanely long at peak times, so go early or late. Thirdly, you might also want to consider going up the Tour Montparnasse - you get equally high up, and you actually get to see the Eiffel Tower, rather than actually being on it. Anyway, it’s worth a visit.

The Eiffel Tower is amazing!! I don’t think I ever realised how tall it was until I went to the top, even on a cloudy February day you could still see so much from the top level!!
We took the lift up which cost about 11 euros and we only had to queue for about an hour - considering it was Valentine’s Day I thought this was really good. There are some shack like places that serve hot food and drinks so we got some of that while we were waiting!
The wholl thing is organised wuite well and you get to see the different levels which have historic facts about the Eiffel Tower so you can learn all about it as well as seeing the magnificent sites!!
Unfortunately it was a very cold day when we went and by the time we got to the top we were absolutely freezing so make sure you wrap up warm!!!

Now, does anybody in their right mind visit Paris but skip the Eiffel Tower (unless of course it is a repeat trip)? The Eiffel Tower more or less symbolizes Paris or even France, to many people in the world and to some extent, it makes sense, the structure itself is grand and looks great during day and night.
Whilst there, the walk up to the second level is definitely worth it, even if only for the slightly elevated view of Paris so that you can grab a better snap of the city. Not sure why anyone would take the lift - paying for a little walk.
If the restaurant at the job were more affordable, I would have been interested, but we must all live within our means.

This is Paris’s most famous landmark. You can’t miss it. It is an amazing structured piece of architecture.
You can definitely see why it sparks romance off.
At night it lights up and sometimes it uses blue sparkling lights.
You can definitely expect queues at all times of the day. However, there are 3/4 entrances.
It is heigh but worth a look at the rest of Paris from up there.
It is a very pictoresque area to visit and extremely touristy. Just to sit and eat fish and chips or wahtever nearby and look up at it, makes you ponder life and appreciate it more.

Long queues if you visit at busy times. We went just before sunset, so we climbed the tower as the sun was setting.
Excellent views from the top of the tower out accross Paris.
We stopped at the restaurant on the way back down, and had a few drinks but nothing to eat. Typical Parisian tourist trap prices for the beers, but an enjoyable experience anyway.
Its the Eiffel Tower and you’re in Paris, you kind of have to go don’t you?

Dreadful experience, very long queue awfull staff. And horrible atmosphere, way to crowded and silly ideas of reaching the top, queue on this level and agin on this one, so annoying.. You have to try it just the once but after that just stay on ground level and gaze at it from there

Of all the places to visit in Paris, this is the best! You can never imagine how tall it actually is until you are stood underneath it and at the top of it overlooking Paris. The view is amazing, it is so unbelievable. Not wise to go up if you are scared of heights!!

Monumentum de la France. You have a great view over Paris, if this justifies it’s drastic prices is questionable. It weigths 10.000 tons and is above 300m high

Wow! What an amazing place to see! We did a Disneyland and Paris trip and this made it for us! Even the children loved this part of the trip. If you are going to Paris, you’ll not want to miss this!

This was the one place on our whole Paris trip that actually had a line. But, it was a Saturday night, and apparently the Eiffel Tower has a line on Saturday night - even in January. Once inside and on the lifts, there were no more lines and we had a sensational time. I advise going straight to the top first, then working your way back down level by level on your own time. It was very windy and cold at the top! I saw a few people’s hats or papers blow away up there! This is simply THE iconic Parisian landmark, and something you can’t miss.

If you are going to Paris, you cannot miss this wonder of the world. It is a must see place for everyone.I have been Paris at least 3 times but have been there everytime. A stunning landmark which I adore. I came here once before my marriage, and twice after my marriage.

Think all the other reviews say it all really - if you havent been there, you must go! You can take the lift, but you will appreciate the views at the top better if you walk all those steps. BTW the caricature artists dotted around the tower are actually pretty good and not bad value for money.

Great view from the top. I went up at night and so saw all of the lights. You can walk up the stairs or get the lift which goes to the top of the tower. There are lights on the tower that light up every hour. The tower has two restaurants, one on the first floor and one on the second.

This is an absolutely essential stop on any and every trip to Paris. A stunning landmark which I adore. I came here on my first wedding anniversary and although it was very busy and we had to queue for over an hour to get in the lifts to get to the top - it was so totally worth it. The views from each level are breathtaking and the feeling when you reach the top is exhilirating to say the least. A beautiful, elegant monument that embodies Paris to me! I would definitely go and queue again to repeat the experience

This is my favourite place in the whole world. It’s amazing. I could sit underneath with some, cheese, ham, bread and wine listening and watching people go by for hours. It’s best to go late at night and see it in the dark. Try to avoid times when it’s busy as it detracts from the atmosphere somewhat. But a must visit if you anywhere near.
You can appreciate it without going to the top, but it is well worth going up there the views are amazing! You can see why they decided to keep it instead of taking it down!

Out of this world! The views are completely amazing & well worth the horribly long queues. The view of the tower all lit up at night is also truly breathtaking. One of the definite places to visit in Paris, you could spend all day here just gazing out admiring the views then nip in for a coffee or bite to eat when it gets too breezy.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Eiffel Tower but it exceeded all my expectations. We made it there about 10.45am and the queues were still building! I think it was at least an hours queue. We wasn’t impressed by this so we went that up the stairs. The queue was only 10 minutes long and it only took 10 minutes to climb up to the first level.
There is a ticket machine on the first level so you can use the lift to go up to the second and third levels as there was no queue for this. We decided to walk up the stairs to the second level which was about 350 steps but it was worth it when we finally got up there. The views were amazing and you could easily get a space to admire the views. The queues at the bottom when we left a couple of hours later were crazy. This took atleast 2 hours.
A magical experience though and somewhere you can easily spend most of the day there. Although the queues are long, it was all worth it at the end

A visit to the tower is a must do for every European. The tower itself is an amazing structure just to look at. If you want to go up the tower, which is an experience I would recommend, try to do it early or late in the day when the queues are shorter as it can get very busy. If you go to the very top the viewing platform is quite narrow and you can feel very exposed, however the views across the city are spectacular.

The Eiffel Tower is one of those real iconic landmarks which you have to see within your lifetime. Can be seen from all around Paris but it is well worth the time to visit and take the elevator up the different levels and see the views of Paris from the top, they are breathtaking. Also looks lovely in the evening all lit up.

You just could not visit Paris without climbing the Eiffel Tower. Take the lifts going up at least, even if you have to queue. If you’re scarred of heights it’s probably best to only go as far as the first stage (top of the legs). It does take a while; 45 minutes to get to the top especially in summer, you have to change lifts to reach the top and this involves another round of queuing half way up.
Main draw back to the site has to be that it is surrounded by unofficial sellers of “tat” which tends to destroy the romance. Last time we were there it was eastern Europeans claiming they had sick children back in which ever country they were from trying to get money from us. They seemed to operate in packs, preventing us lingering long.

a superb monument to engineering (it was the tallest structure in the world until the Chrysler Building was finished), wonderful to see but I think best viewed from afar. It’s something you should go up once, usually there are some interesting exhibits on the first or second levels, and the views from the top viewing platform are magnificent. Best not to go at the weekend when your visit may be spoiled by the numerous people asking for money for their son/daughter/brother who cannot afford medical treatment (usually written on a scrap on paper pushed to your face) - or the 'have you dropped a gold ring’ scam. I suppose these things are ever present in the major tourist sites. Nevertheless, the Eiffel Tower is a must when in Paris, best seen in the evening from Montmartre

Love the Eiffel Tower. I have stood underneath it many times during the day and said it’s not really worth going up and standing in the long queues. However, my boyfriend took me to Paris for a romantic weekend and he decided that he would like to go up it at night. We ended up running from the metro to the tower and getting tickets no problem as it was soon to close. The view from the top was spectacular, all the lights of Paris twinkling. Another breathtaking sight was the metal girders of the tower intertwined and the lights of the tower lighting them. I was so glad we climbed to the top.
What I also found funny about the tower was that when we came out of the metro station, although we knew we were nearly there we couldn’t see the Eiffel Tower. Seems really strange, this huge tower and yet when you get quite close you can’t see it!
