Big, bright, shiny, modern, and well-placed downtown on Regent Street just off Oxford Circus.

I do own an iPod, and have used the Apple Store to buy an accessory or two. Displays are clear with stuff easy to find and lots of assistants to help you find and buy what you need. Every model of computer and iPod is on display to try out, plus lots of other goodies from cameras to camcorders to speaker docks.

There are a lot of facilities I’ve not used: the tech help desk, and the seminar are with sloped seating and display screens, for example.

I’ll admit to being one of those slackers who uses the Apple Store mostly as a free internet café. Find a free laptop or iMac and you can ‘net away as long as you can bear the stares of others who are waiting.

The Apple store on Regent Street is perfect… if you’re a freeloading tourist or backpacker with the brass neck to use the computers on displays for an hour at a time.

As an Apple customer, I’m frequently frustrated by the large crowds of people simply popping in to check their email, sometimes writing verbose replies while they’re at it.

This is the only reason I don’t give the store 5 stars. I’ve always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the store itself to be well-stocked and organised. I’ve been an Apple user for years now… laptops and iPods… and find buying my equipment from the Apple store almost makes up for the damage done to my bank balance.

It also goes without saying that it’s beautifully designed and laid out. Well done Apple - but let’s have some more stores in Central London.

Had a really bad experience in here. Staff were rude and wouldn’t give me the info i needed about my mac and didn’t have a clue when it came to iphone peripherals. Really disappointing.

I attended the iTunes live in London gig on Tuesday night, which is an event they do at the Apple Store every so often. It starts at 9pm, but if you haven't managed to get a ticket beforehand, don't worry they let the first 100 people in after ticket holders. I would warn you to get there early though as the space they play in is quite limited unless you're gifted with height. I watched Supergrass and it was great to see such a high profile band for free. Keep your eyes open for who's next on iTunes, it's a great thing to do that not everyone knows about.

I've been considering getting a Mac for ohhh, 5 years now? I'm now very close to getting a MacBook and I wanted to check out the prices here in the UK. I'm frankly amazed that there aren't more Apple stores in London - it seems like such a fitting brand for the city. I don't know if it's a real estate cost issue or a demand issue but it does seem very strange.

Anyway, the store itself is magnificent. Beautifully designed, simply and intuitively laid out. Free Wi-Fi! Score. The staff are friendly and numerous. The only thing that irks me is that people come in and use the demo products like an internet cafe so I actually had to wait to try a MacBook while some dude emailed a picture of his kid standing outside of Hamleys. If Apple employed some sort of cattle prod policy, it might help this situation.

Very cool store. When I do become part of Steve Jobs' posse, I'm sure I will be here often.

The store itself is very high tech, slick and beautiful. I love the fact you can try everything out and men are always like little children playing around for hours. Sometimes they have great promotions as well and have DJs playing or so...
However I find it annoying that you can't make an appointment upfront, you can only do it th esame day, you are waiting forever and downstairs they don't have enough staff to give you a hand. The laptops only last up two years, not more, by th erule, btu I love my Ipod and even though the first one broke down I was in time to get a new one as an exchange.

I'm really surprised there aren't more apple stores in London. This branch is as much a tourist attraction as a shop. I'm never sure what to make of the apple store. They are very cool, i'll give em' that. I just get a bit cheesed off with the staff sometimes. They are all a bit too cool, a bit nerdy and the knowledge they have of apple products isn't always up to scratch. Maybe that's because i'm a nerd.

I am a big Apple fan. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. There are lots of things to play with in the store. You can try everything out and not buy anything. Its just fun to browse. I love my gadgets and this store has the best gadgets. If you are serious about buying something there are technicians there to help. They are very friendly and are always around to help.

I love this shop. It is stylish and has so many things on display you can spend many hours in there without being bored. I have been in there countless times just looking at the ipods and macs and of course the new itouch. I keep on going in there asking questions about the itouch because I am thinking of getting one. The staff are friendly and helpful and they are there to give you information about all the products. There are people there to help you with the macs and macbooks if you don't know how to use it. Just pop in for a look, its is great.

If you're a fan of Apple (like me!) this is definetly your one stop in London for all you're Apple goods.
On Regent Street you can't miss this beautifully renovated building dating back from the 1900's and the sleek titanium and silver interior now inevitably linked to Apple products.
Prices are standard for Apple. They also have technicians on the floor for any help you require and you can even take in your damaged products!
Most days have digital tutorial lectures in the theatre upstairs on the second floor, I learned a bit there about Adobe products. :)

Hello Apple techs, I have a problem with my MacBook Pro battery, it doesn't keep its charge, and I've owned it for a paltry 8 months.

Have you tried discharging and recharging it?

Well, since it's always discharged I can't do that.

Try leaving it off for a while.

OK. But I heard there's been a product recall and some of these batteries are exploding?

No, nothing of the sort. There is nothing wrong with the MacBook Pro battery.

Hmm. *walks out*

I subsequently bought a replacement for 80 (!) quid on eBay. In the meantime, my old battery exploded. Check out the photos. Fortunately it wasn't in the machine at the time otherwise they would be getting a lot less than 3 stars.

Positive points - there are lots of nice goodies to play with. And you can just pop up to check your email - the staff are clueless.

I like so much Apple Store. Friendly people and a nice environment. Steve Jobs really is entrepreneur. He know very well the needs of costumers, thus his company is strong. I have an ipod and now i want to buy a MacBook. I am an Apple passionate. Come to Apple Store and discover by yourself what it mean.

The story goes that Steve Jobs only wanted to open a store in Central London in a prime shopping area and it took his managers ages to secure a lease on Regent Street. But the result is absolutely mind blowing. The store is spacious and stylish and you can spend literally hours browsing the store without getting bored. That includes a mini cinema sort of area where new products are being introduced and explained and a wifi spot. If you want to be on your own they'll leave you in peace. If you've got questions there a loads of friendly people around to help you. And they know what they are talking about. It's Apple paradise. My credit card loves this place.
