Review of Rheinpark from 8 March 2010

We spent the Sunny Sunday taking a walk in the Rheinpark which is situated at the right side of river Rhine between Deutz and Mühlheim. IMHO this park is a truly good place to chill out and (or) do sport as it offers a great view of the Cologne Skyline and the Rhein. Its also provided with a large play ground for kids and a cute Train Park (but only available during the summer time).

If you drive, you can use the parking area under the Zoobrücke (Zoo's Bridge) close to the hot springs 'Claudius Therme'.

In the year of 2007 the Rheinpark is awarded as the Most Beautiful Park in Germany.

    Are we allowed to have some BBQ ie. @ Spring & Summer? Do they have some Cafes and Restos nearby?

    BBQ isnt allowed, but many people do it.
    Yes, the restaurant "Rheinterrasse" isnt far...but looks not so nice.

    On the Terrasse means Outdoor? Hope they have some Bel. Waffles and Glühwein or Jagertee during the Winter Time...

    What would be the Fine if the Ordnungsamt catch people BBQ-ing there?
