This place is an absolute joke. We arrived at half 7, it took 20 minutes to get some of our drinks – the rest they forgot about and turned up after 1 hour after complaining twice (and they arrived after they had finished their starter). The starters were OK, the best bit of the whole experience. The mains arrived at 20 past 9, that’s 1 hour and 50 minutes after we arrived. There were multiple errors. Someone didn’t have chili on their bean burger, the hot dogs were mixed around, the hotdogs were stone cold, the wrong type of chicken wrap turned up, two bean burgers arrived but only one was ordered, one main didn’t turn up at all and had to be cooked. The food was mediocre at best. The hotdogs looked like a 5 year old put them together. The one redeeming feature of the whole sorry experience was that they gave us a free round of drinks or puddings, and 25% off the bill. We escaped at about half 10, 3 hours after we arrived. Just absolutely appalling.
Had lunch yesterday, good food, friendly service and had a great time. Would definitely recommend.
Appalling customer service.
The £7.50 starter arrived before our drinks or plates - I then had to ask for both. We then waited a further hour & fifteen minutes for our mains, the children were bored, hungry and fed up.
The lad who served us walked past the empty plate on the table repeatedly and failed to ask if we'd like any more drinks.
The manager discounted our £40 by £10. We had ordered 2 x kids meals, a starter platter, burger & fries and a hot dog and fries, 1 beer and 1 coke.
In summary the service was slow and charmless, the food was edible but completely over-priced.
I wouldn't recommend this eatery to anyone.
Buddys had been recommended to me by a friend and they were quite correct. It was a fun atmosphere and the burgers were fantastic, the best I have had in a long time. The milkshakes were out of this world. I really enjoyed the whole experience.
I wouldn't even give this place a single star!!! Shocking experience, just some kids serving you, if you can call it service. We waited 10 mins to order and get a drink, in all fairness the food came quick but was cold! We were never seen to again after the meals were given to us so my wifes cold burger sat in front of here for 30 mins. After waiting for someone to come see us and perhaps clear our plates, we decided to just get up and pay. Whilst paying we were asked how the food was and we responded by saying the burgers were cold, the waitress said "sorry bout that" and that's it!!!! We will never go back to that dump again. I would blame this tragic place on the owner/non existing manager, it's like they've given up.
I’m afraid the service is still painfully slow stella369, we waited 20 mins before we were approached for drinks, the whole experience was over in an hour and 10.
It has a cafe feel but with restaurant prices, a family of four cost just under £40, we did not tip. My daughters chicken was pink in the centre and had to be sent back … well, replaced, they left the pink chicken on our table.
My veggie burger tasted nice, but 'the eye of a needle’ springs to mind the next day. when we arrived the kitchen staff were sat on the steps at the side of the building smoking, I wish I had followed my instinct and gone elsewhere.
Never again, 2/10 (and that’s being generous)
This is an American diner, the food is just what you would expect - really bad for you! It is rather tasty though and the whole place is decorated in 'retro’ american diner style.
I visited recently on my lunch break from work and struggled to eat within an hour. It was a busy day however just after they opened, so I suspect that the service will get quicker as they calm down a little!
Made a nice change - I enjoyed my food and the visit overall.
