Had a day trip to Brighton (August 2010) and stumbled across this lovely little pub on the way to the train station. Had a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu catered for all tastes and the coffee was lovely. It was a pleasure chatting to the young couple behind the bar who I understand recently acquired the pub, they were very welcoming. I shall return when visiting Brighton again.
Really nice little pub that is well hidden along a row of houses (I wouldn’t mind living next door actually !)
Attracts mainly people who live or work in the area. Or the odd straggler who steps off the main road when leaving the railway station !
Indoor area is split into two and there is also an outside seating area when it is sunny !
Have a great lunch menu (think they stop serving in the evening) of traditional “pub lunch” fare.
Staff are friendly and the pub doesn’t have the “your not from round here” atmosphere that some small pubs do ! Well worth a visit.
