Edmonton Leisure Centre has recently been knocked down and rebuilt and this review is based on the brand new leisure centre opposite the train station.

You walk in through big glass doors and the building looks like a tower block. From the outside you see people working out on their gym equipment on the second floor but imagining what it must be like to look out accross Edmonton and watch the world go by.

Through the turnstiles and things get confusing, a sign for the poool sends you left but the changing rooms are on the right. Inside the changing room is unisex but large with hundreds of cubicles and there are seperate girls and boys room within the maze of cubicles and lockers. Finding the pool is another marathon but once inside all is forgiven. There is a 25m pool and a smaller pool - the two seperated by perspex which has blinds in between it and the smaller pool has a moveable floor. There are 2 water slides and a very small pool with an elephant slide for the tiny bubbas.

Water is warm in teh smaller pools for the little ones, and slightly cold in the bigger pool as it should be as your meant to be exercising and warming your body.
