Waiters not very friendly and very macho. A smile doesn’t cost anything!
I was given stringy chicken pieces and the new ones after being taken back to the kitchen were even worse.
Cannot recommend this place.
I’ve been in Bath for 15 years and until today only ever been to the takeaway part of Marmaris. Today we ventured into the restaurant for a sit down meal at lunchtime. The best value, tastiest meal I have had in Bath in a long time. Service was very efficient, food was piping hot and great value for money. £16.95 for two without drinks.
He had the fixed price menu – £6.95 for soup, chicken kebab with chips and coffee and I had soup then vegetarian stew. Pitta bread was on the house. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic place to eat, good value, great service with polite & efficient service at all times. My daughter celebrated her 21st birthday here & could not have asked for a more friendly atmosphere.
Going again with 7 others to enjoy everything again, healthy options are available, so diets can be accomadated.
Great little place. Not the best food in the world but good and good service too.
My local kebab shop/restaurant.
A bit more expensive but its worth it in my opinion!
Their sit down meals are good too. Special offer at lunch on weekdays is good value - 3 courses.
The chilli sauce is not that awful stuff you usually get in most kebab places either!
i love this place!
a must after the big night out, probably wise to leave the club a few mins early to avoif the mad rush :P
the guys recognise and prioritise the loyal customers along with the good banter with the rest of the drunk masses, its practically a night out in itself!
This is my classic post-club grub venue! Service is excellent and good value. Apparently meals during the day are fantastic also!
No question about it, Marmaris could only get 5 stars from me. An unassuming frontage (presumably for planning permission reasons, it’s in a beautiful spot!) hides a grill capable of cooking more meat simultaneously than I’ve ever seen in my life. There is a fair wild-west atmosphere at 3am, but when you behold the 6 quid mixed, with lamb shish, chicken shish, lamb kofta and 2 types of donor, you’ll be glad you dodged the flying bottles…
Mamaris is THE place to go for some great naughty grub after a night out!! It’s always rammed so fight your way to the front and shout your order, they do great kebabs, chicken burgers, cheeseburgers but the ultimate is chips in pitta…..sooooo good!!! I’ve never been here for a sit down meal but I’ve heard it is ok…..as long as you’re expecting to eat in a kebab house restaurant then you get what you expect!!! The guys serving are always friendly and good fun, despite being harrassed by more than several very drunk and very hungry people!!! If you’re looking for food when you come out of the club stop here, it’s also very central on Pultney Weir and well priced.
This Restaurant was the biggest disapointment during my weeks visit to bath, which was excellent, we visited all the top attractions the spas, jane austen’s house & sally lunns & many more, my wife had our assistance dog with us at all times & at our hotel the BARCELO combe manor. However, the owner of the Marmaris refused us entry to his establishment, even though the dog had his Coat and Lead with Hearing Dog For The Deaf clearly on show, he humiliated us & refused to even look at our card from the Environmental Health stating that he had passed all tests to be allowed to be admitted to all establishments where food is sold. We are now seeking advice as to education in order to bring this owner up to today’s standards for the right of the disabled people among us.
“Good enough to eat off the floor!”
Marmaris is the best kebab house in the South West - full stop. Everything is cooked freshly in front of you with a wide selection of salads and sauces. It is reliably the last place open for late night food and surprisingly also has a restaurant attached serving traditional turkish cuisine.
