3 reviews of The Red Lion in English
The Red lion has just undergone an extensive refurbishment. The feed back has all been excellent. There is now a full range of good old fashioned homemade English pub grub at reasonable prices. Sunday lunch includes a choice of meats, homemade Yorkshire puddings, fresh vegetables & real roast potatoes. The next project is to get some children’s play equipment in the large beer garden. We have a choice of 3 real ales as well as GK IPA & Abbot. We want the Red Lion to be a community pub for the community. We have bingo on Thursday nights, show football. Golf. We are hoping to start a quiz night poker night & on occasion have live music as well as Karaoke.

I don't know what has happened since 2007, but this pub is unbelievably bad. It smells of smoke (still!), the toilets are awash and there is absolutely zero atmosphere. The ale is well-kept but you would be well advised to drink it outside in the garden.

The Red Lion Pub has a lovely feel about it. With its roof beams and woodern tables it feels very homely. The staff are always very chatty and make you feel welcome. In the winter its cosy feel is very appealing and in the summer its large beer garden provides a lovely atmosphere. With a regular quiz night and the odd entertainment night its a great village pub!
