I visited idee and Vowinckel Bastlerbedarf on the same day and can’t imagine I would ever go any place other than idee in the future. The store is 200-300 sq. ft over two open floors. Everything is bright and inviting looking as well as easy to shop. My husband even said he’d be willing to go in there himself which definitely says something for it.
Sections include floral decor, scrapbooking & paper, painting, jewelry making and other crafts.
Spanning over 2 floors, one can feel at peace on realising that the materials for art/painting/candle making etc., are grouped according to sections. There is also a wide choice of canvases, with different size, dimensions, quality and thickness. There are occasional angebote that offer discounts on certain materials. Located in the city centre in one of the lanes near karstadt in Zeil, its easy to reach.
I must say it is one stop destination for your art needs.
