Compliment

We were looking for lunch in an area flush with smart and expensive restaurants (Bibendum, Poissonerie de l'Avenue) as well as good value eateries such as Itsu, and stumbled on The Thai Chelsea just behind Chanel on the corner of Brompton Cross. As with most Thais, the place was crisp and welcoming and the service smiling, but what stood out was the quality of the food. We had fresh ginger tea, excellent deep fried spring rolls and the best sesame toast - richly stuffed with prawn - that I have ever tasted. The classic Pad Thai with seafood was well executed, and the red vegetable curry so delicious that we had to order more steamed rice just to make sure we mopped up all the sauce. Total bill for three was a very reasonable £48 with service
