Redcar Racecourse

A day out at the races is one of my favourite days out and Redcar is a handy course in the North East. It is easy walking distance from the railway station (approx 10 minutes) and also the town centre if you want to pop for drinks or a meal after the meet. Entry prices are between about £5 and £15 depending on what you want access to, I would recommend paying the extra for the Grandstand enclosure to have full choice of viewing areas/bars and restaurants. They are happy for larger groups to attend and I am pretty sure there is still a package you can get with a racecard, a few drinks and entry in if there are a few of you. I think it would be worth contacting them in advance. All in all a fun day out and good for family/work days out.
