6 reviews of Restaurant Swiss Chuchi in English
Don't go to this restaurant unless you want to sit on the street eating cheese fondue. We chose to eat inside and to have raclette. The service was surly, snail-like in pace, and it would not have attracted a tip but for the Swiss practice of including service in the prices. The food was mediocre, and the drinks (even the water) over-priced.
Swiss Churchi = Swiss Churlish!!
Hateful, racist, Anti-American staff, and an odor that smells like a combination of hair relaxer and barf. What more could you ask for?!
As the other reviewer noted, there are many excellent other choices in Old Town. Do yourself - and your olfactory senses - a favor and skip this obnoxious, over-priced tourist-trap.
Terrible food, expensive and the staff is foul.Plenty of other good restaurants in the old city.. .Avoid Swiss Chuchi at all costs

Very good Swiss food but the restaurant is focused on tourists. Very expensive. Maybe we had bad luck but our waiters were unfriendly and not service oriented at all. But again, food was great.
I read the reviews above and decided to check out Adlers for myself… and the reviews were true to form! The restaurant had wonderful atmosphere from the outside walls into the restaurant and into the cheese loving waiters… Lucky I booked a table, as passers by were being turned away as it was full to brimming and I know why now. Service was warm and friendly, the menu extensive and mouth-watering… best to have an empty stomach to indulge in the tasty food. As a table of four, we went for cheese fondue and a meat and cheese raclette… both tasty and fun, then accompanied by a Maroni dessert a typically swiss sweet polished us off nicely ;) A tasty local Kirsch shot is recommended to make more room for dessert or more cheese
It was a wonderful evening, there was lots of cheese involved yet I was content and uncomfortably full!
I was almost positive that I could live on chocolate and chocolate alone during my first visit to Zurich... but then I decided on my last day that I would probably be doing myself a disservice if I did not indulge in the rich tradition of fondue for which the Swiss are also known. Strolling along the Limmatquai and the charming streets in no particular hurry I had the good fortune of coming upon Swiss Chuchi in the Hotel Adler. Normally I would be a bit skeptical of restaurants attached to hotels but taking a peek inside this place and smelling the delightfully cheesy-ness was all it took to convince me Swiss Chuchi would be delectable indeed.
The 4-cheese fondue that came with cubed bread was simply perfection, a bubbling brew of delight that I long to return to... The Raclet was also superb, and the act of assembling the potato, baby corn, pickles, and of course the grilled meat of choice that you grill yourself table-side while melting the cheese underneath was fun all by itself, besides being delicious! Highly recommend this place, and be sure to take along a cheese-loving friend (or two or three) so you can sample as much as possible.
