Since they changed the menu and now have 2 for 1 meals, we love this place. It gets busy on Sundays especially if the weather is hot, so go early. Pity they only do the cavery on a Sunday, instead of every day. Not the best place in the evenings for families as it fills up with the younger clientele. But during the day there’s nothing better then sitting outside and the free entertainment of the water skiers falling all over the place makes it one of our favourite places to eat lunch.
I was really disappointed in the Quays. Admittedly the setting is nice and with views out over the lake it should be a nice place to visit but unfortunately the food lets the place down. We called in for coffee and some light lunch and ordered a toasted sandwich which at £5.25 was cold, dry and tasteless. The ciabatta sandwich we also ordered at some £5.25 was supposed to be BBQ chicken with bacon and melted cheese, what we got was an overcooked mess smothered in BBQ sauce. When we complained to the manager he dismissed it saying that it was BBQ because it had BBQ sauce on it, as per the menu, what was my problem, although he did admit that the chicken wasn’t actually BBQ’d and they probably should have described it better on the menu. All in all very disappointing. I normally never complain when out and about but on this occasion I thought the food was rubbish.

This is a great place to eat with great views over the lake and you can watch the windsurfers and skiers.
They serve a lovely carvery with a choice of three meats, usually pork, beef, turkey, gammon and occasionally lamb.
There is a choice of vegetables which you help yourself to and you can have as much as you want, the roast potatoes are very tasty and well cooked.
The waiting staff are very friendly and quick to serve I have never booked, I have just turned up even on a Sunday and got a table but I get there at midday and while I am there it does get busy.
There is also a menu to order from if you dont fancy the carvery.
