Haughton Hall

Stayed recently and very impressed with such a great CLEAN room, free WiFi (unlike travelodge!), really excellent food and fantastic facilities including pool, gym, tennis and pitch putt. i later discovered they have a fishing lake as well but did not use. Very friendly receptionist and an d restaurant staff.
I use hotels often and this hotel very close to Telford is a real gem and much better that those bigger unfriendly chain hotels. there is such charm and friendliness at Haughton Hall.
highly recommended for business and leisure travellers to the area.

A nice hotel in an old country house. Offers good rates for weekend breaks and is within easy reach of attractions such as Ironbridge and other Shropshire venues. Breakfasts quite good. Rooms comfortable, but decor a bit faded in public areas. Worth its 3 stars, not outstanding but a pleasant venue for a weekend away.

This is a great hotel and restaurant, I even had my wedding here back in 2003 because we loved the place so much. It is set in beautiful surroundings, has a gym and pool attached (with an excellent therapist - ask for Mo) and the food is generally of a very high standard. The interior feels like a grand stately home, the bar is panelled and full of chesterfield suites and the room they use for civil ceremonies is light, airy and has a number of period features. We couldnt fault the place on our wedding day, the food and the service were all spot on and the honeymoon suite is devine with a massive four poster bed and views across the rolling countryside.

As a hotel and restaurant is has to be one of the best options in Shifnal and the surrounding area and as a wedding venue I would highly recommend it.
