Gust Bo ('good taste' in Catalan) is a wonderful, small chain of greengrocers, offering a dizzying array of fruit and vegetables, dedicated to ensuring you get your five portions a day. They supply hotels and restaurants as well as the public through their 3 shops (Vilanova, Castelldefels and Sitges), and they have a delivery service. (The Vilanova store is larger with a much better range than the other two stores.) It's unmissable with its chirpy flourescent orange, green and purple fascia.
Prices are a little higher than the market, but their range is much larger - great for exotic fruit and different types of fresh mushrooms. They also have a limited range of preserved fruit and veg, and dried herbs and spices. The shops are open throughout the siesta.
They have a wonderfully jolly and informative web-site, in Catalan, Spanish and English versions, with lots of photographs, vegetarian recipes, dietary information and details of what fruit and veg are available at any one time. And more of those bright colours!
