Waitrose

Always good produce, but frequently runs out of the special offers in their weekly magazine by Saturday afternoon. The check-out staff are fantastic – though I wish they would stop automatically saying “Sorry for the wait”. (N.B.Management – it doesn’t mean anything if it is said every time!)
My only real gripe is that when the floor staff get together chatting there’s sometimes aggression and “attitude” in the conversation.

Shopping at Waitrose is expensive, but it's my nearest major supermarket, so when I can't get what I need at the local Tesco Express, I go to Waitrose. I only wish I could afford to shop there all the time!

The food is of excellent quality and they have an impressive variety too. It's never crowded and the staff are friendly and helpful. They also have a coffee bar near the front of the store and though I've never bought anything from there myself, I have to say the food always look tempting and the coffee smells great.

I now understand why people love Waitrose. This place has great food and a level of service that can only come from a company with great spirit. Evidently the way that the company gives all it’s profits to the staff and has a great ethos really works !

This store is brand new as it has replaced a Woolworths that has shut down. Ironically it has probably employed more people than the Woolworths did ?

It is not cheap and personally I can only afford to go there for the odd thing, but I am very happy when I do and it is good value for the great food they sell.
