I couldn’t agree more, we recently spent a weekend there. Site was beautifully kept, food and service in the pub amazing. My sea bass was literally the best I’ve ever eaten . If it wasn’t that it’s two hundred miles from our house I’d be there every weekend.

Spring will soon be here. Yippee! Time to get the caravan out and head down to The Rising Sun at Haverfordwest. The pub itself is superb with a really friendly atmosphere and great food. The caravan site is immaculate (better than my back lawn!). The toilet and shower block are spotless. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Can’t wait for Easter!

Bendigedig!
Particularly the Vegetarian menu… Normally it’s about two choices and both are crap, but there almost as many veggie options as there were meat and they were actually nice. None of this “Fried three lentil and llama bean salad on hoummus” cack. Mushroom nicoise or something I had. Can’t remember the name. Tasty! Loved it.

Just outside Haverfordwest on the St. Davids road this pub is a good stop off for a lunch time meal. Only downside is that the menu never changes. We have been visiting the pub for 20 years and the same things are on the menu. However they do put up a specials board with one or two things on it.

Situated a small distance outside Haverfordwest, on the main road to St David’s, the Rising Sun supplies a varied menu, and they specialise in serving local fish dishes. They serve a great steak too, but also provide typical ‘pub grub’ fare such as sandwiches. The place is very popular with locals. They serve a mix of draught beers and real ales. It’s a child-friendly establishment and also offers camping and caravan facilities. It’s excellent value for money. The décor is a bit dated, but that’s really the only criticism I can come up with! As a recommendation, my favourite dish is the monkfish kebab.
