I use this Tesco as it is on my way to work. Petrol station does not ever have any gloves or facilities to wash your hands.

I went to this Tesco when it recently opened and it was a bad experience. Firstly, a man in his 40s walked in before me. he was wearing a rain mac type coat with the hood up as it was raining outside. Security shouted across to him to take his hood down, like he was some kind of hooded thug - how embarrassing!

Staff did seem to wandering around and chatting, which isn’t a concern but at the till the check out girl didn’t say a thing, she just scanned the shopping and held her hand out for the money. I couldn’t believe it. I played dumb and asked how much? she then stirred slightly and told me the price.

Also the bench near checkout was vandalised - it was only weeks old.

Go here only if you’re desperate!!!

I have only visited this store once last year, and that was enough… It only opened last year on the Gorton Market, Centraly located off Hyde road and close to residential areas I found the Carpark to be quite small compared to other Tesco stores.

The shop it’s self was very busy and a lot of the staff just seemed to be hanging around not doing much. A lot of shelves were half empty and there was a lot of packaging waste lying around in trollys on the shop floor.

I found the Aisle smaller than other tesco’s, as if they had tried to cram as much into the store as they could.

I had gone to try this store not long after if opened and was planning on buying some Fireworks for a bonfire night we were going to, they had the Kiosk set up at the front of the shop with no staff on (but like other Tesco’s this was not unusual) so knowing the safety policy I did my shopping first then went back to the Kiosk were I stood for 15min before a member of staff came over to me and said “you want Fireworks?” I said that I did and she just said “It’s Shut now” and walked off. No where in store did it say the times you could buy them. I ended up going to my local Tesco’s store which I go to every week and I bought the fire works there.

I was very dissapointed with the New Store, and the Poor or complete lack of customer service in the shop.

I don’t think I will use this store again, I would rather travel a bit further and find a better store.

This tesco is fairly new only opened in October 2008.
I am not very impressed with how they throw good food away.
Today I actually saw them putting into bin bags about 50 boxes of free range eggs and about 20 packets of weight watchers yoghurts and some packets of beef rump steak… plus the rest..

It also likes to try and avoid giving you your money back if they overcharge u and put up some silly arguement about it.

The shop does get a lot of hooligans that hang around outside the store and so a security guard who has to be alert all the time is on duty.

They do have pharmacy that opens till quite late where u can get ur prescriptions or other medicine as well as get a heath check!!!

Just like any other tesco!!!!
