Really good fish & chips and very reasonably priced. Portions are generous (I was convinced the kid's cod and chips was mine when it came out) and perfectly cooked - moist fish in crisp batter with lovely chips that were not hanging in grease. Samantha the waitress was brilliant, so efficient and friendly and really looked after her customers, particularly the kids. If you're in Ilfracombe pop in.

Probably the best fish and chips in North Devon fairly priced and quick service ....if you go to Ilfracombe a visit to Maddy`s is a must !

This is a takeaway place by the sea front. Is is your usuall sort of fish and chip type place serving chips along with fish,pies, sausages, etc. The staff are usually very helpful and serve you quite quickly.
This is a popular place to go to and is quite popular as it is easy and the food is served very quickly. You can tell it is good as it is popular with the locals and is one of the busiest chippys in the town. There is limited parking outside to stop off and get your chips.
The prices are quite reasonable and the food is very good.

Maddys is a great chip shop down by the sea front. You can choose whether you have the food to take away or next door they have the restaurant so if you prefer you can order in there and sit down and eat. The food they sell is lovely we go in there quite alot to get fish and chips then walk around the sea front with it. I find that the food is quite cheap. In the summer it can get very busy but you still get served really fast as they always have lots of staff on. They also have a grill by the window that they serve people from in the summer this saves the queues getting to big. The staff are really friendly.
