On top of that they had this Groupon offer which doesn't bode well for their biz I guess... probably means the wheel is turning for these guys... I wouldn't be surprised.
My advice: don't bother stopping there anymore!

I don't think I like this pub for the right reasons. I like it because it's in one of my favourite areas of London. Everyone forgets about Marylebone, even though it's only a few minutes from Bond Street. It's no somewhere I frequent, so when I do, it's fun. It's a lovely area, the shops are fab and wondering around makes me happy.
So the Marylebone makes me happy. But it's not nearly as nice a pub as they like to think. The service can be pretty shoddy. With five behind the bar, the restocked the shelves and left us standing for close on ten minutes. We very nearly left. But once you've got a drink, it's a nice place and you tend to forget that the service was bad. It's not cheap (but then, in this area, you wouldn't expect that, and I wasn't allowed to suggest the Sam Smiths pub up the road).
I like it here, but it's a bit snotty. It gets four stars because it's in the perfect location. Really, it's a three star pub that's a bit shiny. Not that you'll care once you've stumbled out of La Fromagerie.

A few tips for the manager in "How not to treat a well behaved bunch of 40+ local punters". Tip 1: Don't be really aggressively rude to the birthday girl that's brought said 40+ people to your otherwise empty bar. Tip 2: Don't use dodgily wired light fittings that explode their wine bottle-sized bulbs down on to the drinkers below (see live-wire blown fitting in photo). Tip 3: At closing time, don't try and justify why you were so rude and aggresive to the same customers who've just spent a small fortune in your bar. Tip 4: Don't mess with locals who use Qype. Verstaan?

Its NOT the Marylebone Tup anymore!! Its now known as the Marylebone and is a cross between a wine bar and …. well i dont know!! Its a MASSIVE shame that was always a busy, great, friendly, BYO food, LOCAL has been changed to a (yet another) standard want-to-be young person bar…. Give this a miss with both barrels! And before you ask, yes i am a local, yes i have lived in W1 for years and I am in my early 30’s and just don’t get why you would change such a great pub that always had amazing reviews by any London media…SHAME!!!

This place feels like a traditional pub with a modern twist. Two huge LCD screens on opposite corners of the bar area generate clusters of people around them (I’m guessing this is a fun place to be for any game), but it also seems to be just a simple hangout for students in the afternoons. What really attracted me was the free wifi.
