after visiting the pub many times, i have to say for the first time i feel really let down. Food was always good as was service, but on my recent visit 18/03/2011 both were terrible. My meal of grilled fish was cooked partially and not cooked at all at the thickest part. My wifes dish chicken with cheese, bacon and mushroom topping was so salty it was not eatable and once again grilled? chicken tasted boiled and undercooked. Starters were served without cutlerey and waitress didn,t know what Merlot was asking if it was a beer. Even when my husband complained to the waitress she still asked was everything was okay with the meal. Manager refunded my meal, but even that has not convinced us to go back to somewhere we considered our local resteraunt and had recommended. Sadly not up to standard on this day.

I called into this place today on the basis of the Qype review.
It is a nice rural style pub with a log fire, a very nice place to visit with a cosy feel. The food menu looked like all the meals were all able to be "Home made"
All the usual pub food, nothing too exotic or that interesting but you could see they made an effort to make it varied and interesting.
Prices at £3-5ish for Snack.
Main meals around £8-9
Steaks and Grills £11-13
One real ale pump serving Teltley's Fire Cracker.
I wasn't really hungry but wanted to sample some food why I was there so I ordered the hot chicken sandwich.
I was very disappointed. It was a cheap chicken burger on a poor quality bread bun with a bit of iceberg.
Most of the pubs I know use a full chicken breast that they put their own coating on and serve with salad garnish etc.
It's a shame really because it is a nice looking pub. My snack may or may not have been representative of the rest of the menu but I shall not be returning to find out.
I have no doubt it one of the best pubs within a few mile.

This is great family pub and it’s got a great atmosphere. You can eat in the car area or you can eat in the restaurant. The pub food is good value but it is worth going up to the restaurant. The food is really nice and the staff are very friendly. There is a good selection of wine and beer in the bar. We’ve also held family gatherings there are the buffet food was very good. There is a big car park at the back. The Queen Anne is one of the best pubs around and well worth a visit.

Fantastic little place, I have taken friends, family, girlfriends and business contacts to eat here many times and always come away happy. The menu is simple but has enough variety to make you want to return. The atmosphere is friendly and if you are lucky enough to find a quiet night in the bar area get the seat next to the log fire, I promise you won’t want to leave.
