Subway is the same everywhere ...

you pick your bread, you pick the ingredients, you choose which cheese and whether you want it warmed or not!

Its good, but its not cheap!

The staff there doesnt really care about you. I cant say they r mean, but they are not exactly friendly either.

I’m not a big fan of Subway. Have tried multiple locations, including originally in the US, where we often went there while in college. I’ve never gotten into their sandwiches. They just aren’t good. The bread is blah, the ingredients, supposedly fresh, aren’t really top notch nor is service any good. The shops themselves are completely generic and I much more prefer a deli sandwich than Subway’s. On the other hand, it’s tough to find a NYC style deli in Hamburg. Actually, there isn’t even one deli in Hamburg so there aren’t many options when it comes to subs. Maybe someone could finally start a real sandwich shop but I highly doubt the German palette would really go for this. Anyway, Subway is a poor compromise and I go into one every now and again when there are few other options. This was the case today when we grabbed sandwiches here. I gave them another chance, for like the 20th time. Still, it ended up a disappointment as it did so many times before!

Subways is great! They are healthy cheap and really convenient, not to mension extremely delicious. I always go to subway as there bread is fresh and they have a good variety too, the staff are always polite and helpful and i enjoy the sandwiches very much. Plus the subs of the days are also very good, and a bargain!

Either I have no luck with Subways’ in Hamburg or I’m too stupid or I look like an asshole who does not deserve being serviced well. I don’t know what is the cause for my Subway misery but there simply is no Subway venue in Hamburg that offers good service.

The sandwiches taste kinda the same, but I have never left a Hamburg Subway thinking “Wow, that was excellent service” - except the one at Altona station.

Gänsemarkt Subway is no exception, the store looks kinda run down, the Menu is changed by applying cheap stickers, the whole place has a dirty feel plus the girl who served me was really clumsy. Maybe just another bad day for me, but they are not going to see me again.
