Maltby Service Station

I took my car to maltby service staion because the steering was stiff.  They diagnosed the problem, and it cost me £350.  3 days later I took it back because the problem
was still there. After 30 mins they said oh sorry it was nt that it was something else?? No refund apology or anything.   After 1 mth the problem is back but I won't take the car to  service station.


On another occasion in 2012 my friend took her car for routine service it cost her £240 .....gulp

This is a petrol station, and car workshop. It looks quite tatty and offputting from the outside, but came highly recommended to us from a friend so we thought we might as well try it. We have now been using it for 5 years and have no regrets.

The business is family run, and as far as i know the guys work Monday to Friday, from about 8:30 to 6:30ish. When we have had MOT’s done there they have let us drop the car off earlier than this and drop the keys in at the little shop.

They do not tell you your car needs fixing if it doesn’t. They check for even very cheap repairs if you want them done, and we have always found the labour charges to be very reasonable.

The customer service is good.
