A nice place to relax, smoke a water pipe and eat some Arabic delicacies. The staff is very friendly, the food tastes great and there is a good choice of tobacco for the hookah. Hookahs start at 6,50 €. For 9,90€ you get a water pipe with 2 hoses, so 2 people can smoke it at the same time.

I’ll definitely go there again sometime.

1001 Nacht, or 1001 Nights, if you will, is a decent shisha bar on the fringes of the schanze. One problem I have with it is that their menu is too large. It took me literally 5 mins just to flick through without really looking.

We arrived at happy hour, and so took advantage by getting some cocktails for €5 each. They were ok, but I found myself wishing that I’d ordered a beer. I certainly wouldn’t pay the full price of €9.

One other niggle was that the seats are kind of crappy if you don’t get to sit on one of the big couches (even they don’t look that great). Also they wouldn’t let us sit on some of the free couches because we weren’t a big enough party. Needless to say no-one else came in and the better seats stayed unused.

All that said, the service in general was good, and the shishas smoked well. The general decor is also pretty impressive.
