The Thames RIB was one of the best things I did during my time in London!! The commentator on the boat gave us detailed info on the history of London, highlighting iconic buildings and famous landmarks. It was a cold, but sunny morning, so perfect weather for the activity. The boat began slow and relaxed, allowing us to soak in the views around The Thames. After 10 minutes or so the speed started to increase which made the ride really exciting! The driver made sharp turns, tilting the speed boat to each side, adding an element of fear into the ride.
I have been on a couple of boat rides in various cities, but this was by far the best. The staff were attentive, cheerful and knowledgeable, which made The Thames Rib a great experience. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to do a boat trip in London! Just be careful you don't fall out, the water is cold at this time of the year!!!

We are really sorry that you did not enjoy the ride with us. We do our best to please those who what more adrenaline and those who want less – Our trips are either 50 Minutes or 75 – with the longer trip you get much more of the high speed action so maybe next time the longer trip would be better for you.

I took my son for his 14th birthday. What a treat! We learned new facts about London during the first part of the tour and when they opened the throttle and started the 'slalom' it was so exhilarating! Far from cheap, but brilliant for a special occasion. I want to go again when the weather is warmer.

This was bought as a present for my husband's 60th birthday - what a fabulous gift! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! The trip was fun fast and hilarious ! Witty commentary from Charlie and great speeds from Mark. Would definitely do it again!!

I can't believe we come to London so often and have never done this trip. I can only think it must have been the cost that has put us off in the past but we were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday and I can honestly say it was worth every penny! Well organised, great staff and a great way to see the sights with a short, very witty commentary. Amazing experience speeding down the Thames, tilting from side to side to James Bond music. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Absolutely awesome. Thanks guys.

I can't recommend this trip highly enough. Enormous fun ride even without the very entertaining commentary on the sights and people of London, which makes the 5 star rating. Everything from the booking to boarding was laid out clearly and professionally and I'd definitely bring out of towners here. Thanks for a great time!

This was a company team outing. It was quite cold and raining. Wasn't overly keen!!!!
What a bloody marvellous time we had. The 1hr 20min trip consisted of an interesting sight seeing tour along the river. Expert and humourous commentary as we meandered down the river was interspersed in just the right measure with exhiliarating blasts of speed through the wake on the river.
We were a party of UK, Czech, German and US nationals and the team looked after us really. The witty commentary had everyone in fits of laughter.
Totally brilliant!!! Would recommend to anyone looking for something fun and different to do in London.

The Thames RIB Experience is great fun! It is hands-down the best way of sightseeing in London. It is informative, entertaining, the sights are stunning and the ride itself... well, you scream and laugh at the same time. Highly recommended to visitors and Londoners alike.

It was little above zero degrees. It was windy. One of our group even turned up witha chest infection.
None of this detracted from the experience that is not to be missed!
We were bought the ride as a gift and booked a group of 6. The staff on the pier were helpful, the safety brief wasn’t tedious and we set off on time. A group turned up ten minutes late and they even went back to pier to pick them up. Adding possible 2 minutes to out day but ensuring that good customer service was upheld.
The brief tour up the Thames was very informative and very fun. The guides had good knowledge of the history of the buildings and London.
And then they opened the throttle….. If you want to know how much fun was you’ll have to book – you will not be disappointed!!

This is a fantastic way to see London and the Thames Barrier (the extra money for the extra time to go down that far is well worth it) in a way you have not seen it before. I did a normal cruise down to Greenwich and back recently and, although better for taking photos, this was SO much better as an Experience – and my friend’s photos were not bad at all.. It was a very cold but dry day and we were well kitted out with jacket/hoods and over trousers, though I would recommend wearing thermal longjohns and decent gloves to be really cosy. Loved the James Bond bit and enjoyed the fun and informative commentary. Well managed and good safety drill. Suitable for all ages. Thrills an no spills and a lot of laughs with coffee bars nearby to fall into afterwards if the weather is cold! There was a bit of problem with the individual photos taken by the crew member which couldn’t be transferred to the computer because of a missing lead but we were all rewarded with a free copy (normally £10) of a photo of us all in the boat so we were not complaining at all!

I have been in this country for almost a year now and this is by far the best way to see the city I have experienced. Amazing views at exhilarating speeds! The staff were funny and informative and my boyfriend and I had a absolutely fantastic time. I would recommend this to anyone!

I booked a trip on the Saturday for a friends birthday. We both had a fantastic time. The staff were wonderful and very helpful and warm. I booked again for the Sunday, with the kids who had a great time. I definitely would recommend it to anyone.

We booked tickets for my daughter’s 10th birthday. We arrived excited and were told that we were not able to go on the 2pm boat as they had only one boat which was full despite the fact we had pre booked on the internet a week before and had email confirmation. We were told we had to go on the 4.30 boat. The employees said they had tried to email and text to warn me. However I received no texts and no emails and I checked they had the correct address which they did -so it was very strange that no messages had reached me. They offered no compensation. We could not go at 4.30 as had a family tea for my daughter. They made some lame excuses as to why this happened ranging from the company directors wedding (wouldn’t this have been planned or was this a spontaneous wedding?!) None of the excuses sounded convincing or professional. The fact that we had paid a lot of money and booked over the internet to then be turned away with no compensation made me think this company was unprofessional, unreliable and not at all friendly to its customers. My daughter’s birthday was ruined and we have been told we will be refunded -but how fast or efficiently this will happen i do not know as they weren’t even able to refund it on the day. Awful terrible service – clearly they care about getting their money and nothing else as they made no effort with us even though they cancelled the boat and failed to get in contact with me. Any company with quality and integrity would have dealt with this situation in a far more generous and professional way. It does not seem a trustworthy company at all.

Customer Service is of highest priority to our company and our standard policy is to contact customers at least 24 hours in advance if there are any problems with their booking (i.e. if the time slot they have selected via a partner website is no longer available, or if there are not enough bookings for the trip to go ahead).
Our Terms and conditions are explained over the phone upon booking / highlighted before one can proceed online, as well as being e-mailed along with the confirmation once payment has been made.
As this customer has quite rightly stated, on this occasion there was a major lapse in our usual system whereby mistakenly, no attempts to contact the customer to advise of the change of departure were made on our behalf; as we were unfortunately not made aware of this oversight until it was too late, naturally much upset, disappointment and inconvenience was incurred. For this reason we of course apologised profusely and refunded the full cost of the booking. Upon further investigation we also offered a complimentary trip plus a free photo in the future which was graciously accepted by the injured party.
As advised by the customer we are currently awaiting further comments to corroborate our own statement above.Thank you for reading,

amber77, 12 October 2011:Thames Rib (as they say in the comment they left) did indeed respond to their mistake with honesty and integrity and did indeed offer us complimentary tickets which we have not yet taken as have been too busy but we definitely will. We also got our money refunded. My daughter was very upset by what happened on her birthday but I am sure she will enjoy the trip when we do it in the near future. We are grateful to the manager for taking this seriously and responding so well.

The best thing to do in London full stop! from the friendly team behind the scenes to the lads on the boat. They had us in stitches! The James Bond theme music as we were flying past the 02 must be the best moment ive ever had in london!
Your a fool if you don’t give this a go :)
Ild recommend you do the 80 mins Thames Barrier Experience! £45 and worth every single penny of it

Awesome!!!! we had an absolutely brilliant time from the moment we met the experience team at the pier until we staggered gingerly off the boat at the end of the trip.
If you think the London Eye gives you an alternative view of London, we strongly recommend you try this trip.
Would we do it again - you bet but this time with the Bond music!!!
