Compliment

Tivoli is a very old amusement park in the heart of Copenhagen, which was founded in 1843. The roller-coasters, ghost rides etc. are spread out in the lovely gardens between duck ponds, flowers and fountains. It is a lovely day out even for people who do not enjoy wild rides. Bring your own picnic basket or eat in one of the 38 restaurants and cafes, which cater for all tastes and price levels.
Tivoli has one of the world's oldest wooden roller-coasters named "The mountain roller-coaster" it dates back to 1914 and is still my favourite of all rides though many new and crazier ones have been added over the years.
Throughout the year Tivoli arranges outdoor concerts and theater plays so check the program when you are in town. We have been very lucky to catch great performances without planning to. The fire works displays throughout the summer are great too and I remember desperately trying to stay away to watch them when I was little.
If your going to Copenhagen around Christmas time, the Tivoli Christmas market is lovely with lots of gnomes and traditional Danish Christmas decorations and food. Very worth seeing but it does get really cold so dress up warm!
And HAVE FUN
