Review of The Chelsea Ram from 24 January 2009

The Ram is a relic in Chelsea… it is neither grubby nor snobby in appeal, a very decent pub with Young’s beer, a friendly young staff, wooden furniture and (at times) a noisy but friendly clientele. The place to go for your first pint in the evening!

Review of The Chelsea Ram from 6 July 2007

Situated under the shadow of the Lots Road power station, and close to Chelsea Harbour, this is a decent Young's pub, which is well known for its food.

The interior is open and very spacious, with a modern, stripped-down decor: think bare wooden floors, wooden school-style furniture, painted walls. They do the usual range of Young's beers, decently kept. Although I have not eaten here properly, the food (at least the main courses and Sunday lunches) has a very good reputation amongst gastro-pub types.

However, a recent evening snack we had here - supposedly for four people to share - was a little disappointing, as it would have made a healthy starter for one! Perhaps we ought to try their Sunday roasts one day. That said, the staff were very friendly indeed, and very efficient.

The only real gripe is the prices: this is a £3-a-pint venue. Welcome to Chelsea!
