Travelodge

My feelings on travelodge were less than enthusiastic before visiting kings cross as ive stayed in their Basildon hotel and wasn't overly empressed, however kings cross was a totally different thing altogher. The staff are very pleasent and go out of their way to help you with anything you need.

i have been here a couple of times. The hotel is nice and clean. Good central location, can be a bit intimidating after dark, but nothing drastic.

it is a nice place to stay.

My family and I stopped in this hotel for one night only on the way back from Disneyland Paris and found the rooms to be functional,clean and tidy.The breakfast was very good for under £5 and the availability of internet access via the 2 computers in the foyer (£1 for 20 mins) allowed us to log onto to the trainline website to alter our travel arrangements without having to phsicaly go to the station to do so.

Our room was on the first floor and backed onto the tubeway line but to be fair the noise was not as bad as we had expected and did not cause us to loose sleep :-)

For £29 per room per night it is very good value for money.

An easy place to get to. Found the reception very helpful. Pre-booked a breakfast on the internet prior to arrival so that worked out cheaper. Rooms are of a good standard and the great thing is that you know what to expect. If you manage to book a deal months in advance it is a good cheap break. I am a solo traveller and find the Travelodge network very good.

This Travelodge is only a short walk to kings Cross so this makes it a very convenient location to stay whilst using public transport. We stayed in a family room with a double bed and a sofa bed with a seperate pull out bed underneath. The standard was similar to many other travelodges we have stayed in. ie you expect a clean, tidy adequately furnished room with plenty of hot water and clean towels! There are no added luxuries here so don’t expect them but for the price it is good value. Across the street are a couple of restaurants for evening meals if you need one nearby. We had breakfast in the hotel which was very good value as we paid for one adult meal and the 2 children ate free, it was cereals, juice, hot drinks and muffins and croissants. The downside to this hotel is the noise from the trains but this is mentioned on the website so it was expected.
