I used to use Gasnier last year before I switched to Timpsons across the road. Since Timpsons ruined my last couple of pairs of boots however I’m going back. Gasniers hasn’t changed much over the years, they’ve been in Shirley for years although only changed location when the new Sainsburys was built. The staff are not particularly friendly or welcoming. We popped in at Christmas to buy a shopping trolley and didn’t receive much assistance at all. One lady can be blunt to the point of rudeness. They are usually fast to serve however and I’ve never really found a fault with their shoe repairs.
