8 reviews of Nando's in English
on thewhole, nandos is nandos: its chicken.
this one is a bit cramped, i think think they have tried to squeeze too many tables in. however, the food is good and the service likewise.
it wouldnt be my first choice of place to go within canary wharfs due to it being so cramped, but then again when its quiet I like to pop along.
In line with the general Nando’s quality, this place offers decent char-grilled chicken in a simple and fun atmosphere. An easy going place offering the standard nando’s menu, I generally enjoy my time when I visit this restaurant.
The chicken is generally good - rarely too burnt, whilst the other side order options, be it the chips, corn on cob, garlic bread are also very nice. I would say that you get decent value for what you pay at Nando’s, and the perri perri sauces they provide add even more flair and flavor to the food, would definitely recommend it.
Why the three stars? Well, because this place fills up way too quickly over lunch hour and the queue builds, so unless you get there early for lunch, you really want to find a different place.
I’m not really a fan of Nando’s, but when a friend was having a birthday meal I happily went along because I thought it would be fun, how wrong was I!?
The place was packed and unbearable warm on the day I went.
The service was fine, but I’m not really a fan of the food either. So, Overall, It wasn’t a pleasant experience, but other people enjoyed it and for that it gets 3 stars
Been to many Nandos, but met a friend after work & went to this one. Service was good as usually & food arrived very fast. Some places the meals are small in size, this place come up perfectly, great meal all round.
I was finally introduced to the wondrous world of Nando’s chicken on a lunch excursion in Canary Wharf; who knew simple chicken could be so good? I can be a bit of a wimp when it comes to spices so I went with the lemon herb but I think I’ll have to be more adventurous next time around. What a great, cheap lunch option -- no wonder there was a gigantic queue.
Being from South Africa originally, I am always a proud Nando's fan, explaining its virtues to all who will listen. The offering in London is no different from that in South Africa- great chicken dishes and excellent value. My favourite is chicken in a pita bread with a side serving of potato wedges. If you're adventurous, go for the peri peri marinade, otherwise stick with the milder herb version. Definitely give Savanna Dry a go- its a South African cider that is (hopefully) beginning to make its mark in the UK. Much dryer than standard ciders here, it is incredibly refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to a delicious meal at Nando's!
Acording to my experiances at 'Nando's' i would gladly recommend their explicit cuisines and lively atmosphere as Nando's is a place of humour and togetherness.
The restaurant also displays alot of variety, although getting served can be prooved difficult when crowded and awaiting food once ordered may take a while.
However when actually in possesion of your orders, it is a good night out, with an alternative or taking away.
