Fantastic japanese cuisine. Beautiful settings, very popular, would definitely recommend.

The food here is astonishingly good. Service is average at best but who cares when the food is this good. We were here for lunch on Friday and had 5 pieces of Salmon sashimi with wasabi and soy sauce to start. It was great qualify fish. The main course dishes came at intervals after that, which worked quite well as if they had all arrived at the same time it would have been too hard to choose what to have first.
I don’t know exactly what we had as we let the clients choose, but first up was a mushroom based dish in a sauce, I couldn’t say what else was in it but I’ve never enjoyed mushrooms on their own more. We also had lobster with asparagus, prawn with asparagus, pork belly and wagyu beef. All great but the pork belly was utter genius, melt in the mouth doesn’t do it sufficient justice. I’ve had the black cod here before and that’s the only other thing I remember coming close to the pork belly.
Fuji apple crumble came with peanut in the crumble mix and with hazelnut ice cream. It was very good but I think my taste buds had already been over-excited by that point

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday last week for the first time after having a lovely experience for my own birthday a few months ago at the Old Park Lane branch and this one was just amazing - if not better.
I would recommend the Berkeley Street Nobu for a romantic meal whereas Park Lane seemed better for a family or group meal as it was noisier and much more lively. Berkeley Street is absolutely gorgeous though and you really do get the Michelin Star experience from the red carpet at the entrance right down to the immaculate toilets!
The service was a little slow but the food is so exquisite that it hardly even matters - the whole atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and casual and I think it's nice that the service gives you time to relax and chat in between courses rather than a stiff-backed silver service which often makes for tense dining.
I tried a completely different selection of food this time and as much as I can recommend the same old favourites, (the black cod and the bento box most popularly) I thoroughly enjoyed my yellowtail sashimi with jalapenos, mixed oysters and ginger cheesecake.

I have been twice and will not go back.
The first time the food was excellent but the service was shocking.
Unfortunately, the service problems were not an anomaly and the second time was just as bad in terms of service.
There are too many fabulous places in London to eat that also give you a wonderful experience. Don't waste your time or money here.

My favourite restaurant along with the Nobu on Park Lane. This one is slightly easier to get into though. We have tried Nobu on Park Lane a few times only to be told it was fully booked but that we should try Nobu Berkley and yes each time we’ve been able to get a table. You still have to book way in advance though. Fantastic food every time. The black cod with miso is an absolute must for first timers. We get it every time we visit and it is just a delicious-melt-in-your-mouth-make-your-tastebuds-tingle experience. A nice buzzy bar on the ground floor too. Yes it is expensive but worth it in my opinion - fabulous food, gorgeous decor, great atmosphere, attentive service and a few famous faces thrown in - a good night out all round.

From the get go I knew this would be an interesting experience. Not accustomed to dining out on this scale I dialled Nobu’s reservation desk with some trepidation and held for 35 minutes, only to be told that the first available table for 8 was 6 weeks away. On a Wednesday evening. For the 6:30pm seating (not exactly peak time for celeb spotting). O well.
After announcing our arrival at the hotel-style reception desk we were guided into the ground floor bar by our elegant, if ever so serious hostess. The dimly-lit bar is something to behold. It is beautifully designed and sitting at the small table I couldn’t help but feel like I’d made it. Silly I know.
Although the service was unremarkable, the food was incredible. I would highly recommend the Wagyu Beef skewers and the King Crab Tempura. Our group had done its research and a few people at the table informed me that it was widely known that the Black Cod was the way to go. What ever you do, don’t miss it!

Urbanite, 27 June 2008:
The bar on the ground floor looks good but we were not impressed with the service. On a quiet Monday evening, it took forever to get any drinks (we could have squeezed in another two rounds in the time we were there…. think of the lost earnings!), the champagne was not chilled… and the sushi was not great.

I was delighted to get to go to Nobu for a friend’s ‘plus one’ at their Xmas party last year. Being a big Japanese food fan I had heard a lot about it - and of course the huge celeb following.
The fact that this place is expensive is a given, so if you are booked to go there, this is probably not a big concern. The service wasn’t all I hoped and sadly no celebs that night. The food was, however, excellent. Both in presentation and in quality of ingredients I was very tickled pink. You must, must try the black miso cod that was like little parcels from heaven.
The saki comes in a nifty bamboo pourer with little bamboo tumblers and can come either hot or cold.
For a big night out where someone else is paying, I would highly recommend it. For a splash of Sushi, your money’d go further at Bento Cafe, Camden.
