i have visited Papadoms and enjoyed the food. After a week, I searched on internet but They did not deliver. I really did not want to leave the house and wanted Papadoms. When i checked on some web sites I saw that they had different menu to what Papadomss had in the restaurant. But then my friend told me about MySalivation.com - My Salivation Delivers http://www.mysalivation.com/18/restaurant-papadoms.html .I ordered food from them for delivery from Papadoms and it was just what I wanted. :) very happy I can order now, given the weather has been so bad. ;)

i had to give Papadoms "5 STARS" because for the 1st time in my life any restaurant was able to make me happy with their hot dish.
for was in the restaurant for my dinner and asked for one good spicy dish.the stuff took our order suggest me the dish "jalfrizi" and it was excellent.if you want to have a real good food,i will recommend to visit this restaurent for once.

its funny that I am still in the restaurant and I am writing the review through my phone because of the manager himself requested me to give a review. It seems like they are quite active about their reviews(not sure if they really are on not).
the food is good and the service as well but its bit slow I think.food took too long to come though the restaurant wasn't that busy. But it was ok for us coz its weekend and we are still in.the environment is free and friendly.
I would rather give it 5 stars..,but didn't because,what will I do if I find a better restaurant. :)

it was my first time in brick lane area to have my dinner in Saturday night, and fortunately i got a 50% discount in this restaurant. it was in the web page of the restaurant.
i was so angry that we had to wait nearly 15 minutes to get a table for 5 of us.so they served our drinks without giving us a table.but after getting the table the experience was totally different.as they took a good care as we waited there for a long(was told to us about the service).
i should say that the food quality was out standing,specially the Platter in starter,and the main dish with prawn (something called "malai") was really better then we expected.
i dont think i will hesitate to visit papadoms if i visit that area again.

it was 2009 i first came to the restaurant Papadoms. as far i remember,it was an very ordinary restaurant.
Some how I again had to visit the same restaurant as my friend arranged a party there and i saw a big change in it.mostly in decoration and food but the service is still very slow and i think its still bit expensive as an Indian restaurant.
but i have to say they improved the food quality.and its better then the last time i was there.

This place is so bad that it made me determined enough to spend 10 minutes finding the qype entry to give it a bad review.
Met friends there who had been lured in by a £10 meal deal (presumably some kind of cash thing so they could avoid paying tax).
Greasy mains, bland and uninspiring starters. Lamb bhuna tasted like a bad school dinner and had obviously been made with the cheapest meat they could find.
Service was asonishingly, blatantly rude. Plates were snatched away mid-bite and when a friend asked for cutlery he was told by the waiter to use someone else's who wasn't eating. The waiters on the whole gave the impression that if you didn't like it then hard luck.
If it wasn't located almost opposite the main tourist entrance into Brick Lane, there's no way that it would still be running.

Papadoms is an absolute disgrace. This is the worst restaurant i have ever been to in my life. Avoid at all costs.
The place is a rip-off, they are ridiculously expensive for what they provide (even with the "50%" discount.
They conned us on the starter (doubled the price with a clever menu trick).
They tried to charge us 25% for service- they have the worst service in the world- the waiters are gratuitously rude, impossible to get the attention of, and really don't care!
The food is over-priced and under-flavored, not an authentic indian.
In the end the bill came to £27 for 2 people (not including drinks- but including the "50% discount"- this place is atrocious- avoid like the plague!
Please note i'm only giving this place 1 star- because i can't give 0.

we are very sorry that you had a bad experience about our restaurant and we apologise for that. And about the 25% service charge,it wan not accurately 25%,it was 20%. But with the change of the managing comity we changed our service charge system and its only 12.5% in place of 20%.
its unfortunate, you did not like our service,but we are happy to let you know that our management comity has changed and we are continuously trying to improve our service.and if you still not happy with our service then we wont charge for the service provided by us.

I don’t usually like to give a place a bad review but this was the first truly bland Indian food I’ve had on Brick Lane. We had a range of dishes, mushroom baji, sag aloo, and veggie curry. All very heavily oily and not spiced particularly well. The service was OK and the staff were friendly but the food took forever to come.
To add insult to injury, my husband ended up with a spot of food poisoning, which we think was from a sauce that I didn’t have for the papadoms.
I’d recommend avoiding this one, especially with so many other great restaurants very near.

I should start by stating that this was my first outing to Brick Lane, so I have no idea how it compares to other restaurants.
The food was delicious, although the quantities were rather smaller than in my local Indian restaurants (Greater London). A 20% discount and free drink (in our case, a small beer) were offered to us (the standard for Brick Lane, it seems), which made the price quite reasonable.
We weren’t prepared, however, for feeling quite so hurried. Quick service is great, but after our main course we were handed the bill (without asking for it) and when I still had a fair bit of my drink left. Maybe this is normal for Brick Lane, but it wasn’t normal to us.
