10 reviews of Gardiner Haskins Homecentre in English
Really like the variety in this place and their garden centre is well maintained, seeming to have better choice of things like fencing than other more well-known home stores.
They seem to have an enormous range of everything from beers, wines and spirits, to kichen equipment, bathrooms, electrical items and bicycles!
The staff have all been very helpful and polite.
Bit of a treasure trove really.
They only fall down on the website, which doesn't seem to be updated very often, if at all.
Excellent experience at Gardiner Haskins, from convenient, ample parking to delivery of products.
Only went in for a few items and ended up buying a lot more, with such vast product variety and choice. The new modern furniture area was great and different style to what you would expect at the store.
We will be back, highly recommended!
I like Gardner Haskin, at least you can see lots of items on show and the prices are good. I bought a bathroom and shower that was £200 cheaper than the web and a washing machine that was cheaper.
They were good on fitting it as well, local plumber who was tidy and turned up when they said. Good saleslady on Bathrooms, good technically and no bs. or pushyness.
Wallpaper and plants were good here too.
Its a shame its old buildings, but you get used to it after a few visits and find your way around. Didn't like the piped music, but thats just me.
I love this place, so much more than the 'same in every town' shops. They have loads of Bathrooms washing machines and furniture. Its a strange old building but worth a trip. The prices are very good and we got a range cooker cheaper than the internet. They delivered it without any problems, and the staff were like thge rest of the ones ine the shop, very helpful.
I tell all my employees and friends about this place. Definitely worth a visit. Also handy from the station.
Gardinier Haskins delivery service is appalling! I bought a washing machine and during the delivery they ripped up my brand new floor. The men then left sharpish without even uttering an apology. I wrote to complain as you can't get hold of management on the phone and they have written back saying it was up to me to protect the floor. However, the floor didn't stand a chance the way they were dragging the machine around. We had moved out our old one with no problems at all. Totally uncaring, unresponsive attitude. Thumbs down! I like to see wht John ewis would have said, I'll be going there next time!
I found that Gardiner Haskins was over priced for the quality of goods that they sold, although i found the staff to be very helpfull they did not seem to me to be very content in their jobs. Management were scarcely to be found when needed by myself and seemed to shy away from responsibilities when dealing with customer complaints. The store looked run down and dated and in need of a make over. Overall i was not impressed with the whole experience, i shall not be going there again !!
Brilliant place to come for a potter round. They have almost everything you need for the home, and I manage to seek out what i'm searching for every time I come here. Staff are very pleasant too.
Gardiner Haskins, it’s a landmark in Bristol, been around for ages and everyone knows it.
Like the post below I would agree they do have lots of items that you might need for you house / garden.
It’s a pleasant place to shop and the staff are friendly.
I just love coming here - they sell nearly everything for the home including bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, DIY stuff, tools, tiles, appliances, gadgets, furnishings, furniture… you can wander around for hours and the staff are pretty helpful.
