The girl who sold my dress was nice but when I went for fitting she didn't help to get my gown on. Also, they have charged me £20 for taking in the sleeve and £20 for lifting a bit the sleeve which was a really small job, which I think it was a bit cheeky of them. Apart from that, good experience. They will also require you to pay for the fitting before is done.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Leonie Claire Bridal. I am so pleased you found your perfect Claire Pettibone gown and very much look forward to seeing photos of your special day.
In order to preserve the privacy and modesty of our brides we don’t enter the dressing room while you are undressing but do ask if you would like help getting into the gown. I do apologise if you were not asked if you would like some help. I will ensure the member of staff who served you is reminded of this procedure.
Our bridal alterations are a service that we provide for those that require it but we do always say that you do not have to use it. At your first fitting we will fit your gown and advise you of the cost involved in altering it. If you are not happy with this cost we would never pressure you to continue and would of course help you to find an alternative solution such as a local seamstress or alterations facility that may prove cheaper in cost. The material used in Claire Pettibone gowns is of such a delicate nature and requires gentle handling by a skilled seamstress. There is often as much work in the unpicking and preparation of amendments as the final stitching of the alteration especially where beaded material is involved.
We do indeed require payment of the alterations at the time of fitting so that we can pay our seamstresses directly for their work.
I do hope you can understand the need to charge for alterations and I will be most happy to discuss this in person if you so wish.
Wishing you much love and happiness in your married life, Leonie Claire Lawmon. Managing Director. Leonie Claire Bridal Boutique.
