Hilton London Metropole Hotel

Hilton Hotel is in the centre of the city. Staff is friendly n helpful…pretty clean n tidy. Huge variety of food available there….serves food at regular intervals and had internet access.

Exactly what you would expect from a Hilton Hotel in the centre of a big city.
It is a massive hotel with rooms numbering well into the hundreds. The staff are helpful and friendly and the room we stayed in, despite being on the 13th floor was clean and tidy. As always the room mini bar was ridiculously over priced, but thats pretty much consistent with every hotel I've ever stayed in! Breakfast is good, however be prepared to wait as it gets incredibly busy in the mornings!

My daughter & I stayed here for one night & I have to say the hotel was great. The staff were very friendly & the Queen Deluxe Plus Room that we had was great. Two double beds, plasma TV & spotlessly clean. The breakfast (which was included in the price of the room)was one of the best that I have ever had in a hotel. Great selection of both hot & cold food & plently of it. The only downside was that there wasn’t any hot water in the morning for a shower, but I was told by reception that there was a problem with the boiler or something & that they were working on it. Needless to say, it wasn’t fixed by the time we checked-out.

This is the usual Hilton but with the added bonus of a lovely pool (reasonable size for a hotel and normal shape, so you could swim lengths). It also has a great Executive Lounge if you are lucky enough to be upgraded or rich enough to pay. It served food a regular intervals, including nice snacks and alcohol in the evening and had internet access (although I think you had to pay for that), books, newspapers and lots of nice comfy chairs. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly and the location is close to Edgware Road tube and just across the road from Marks and Spencer, so ideal!

Absolutly loved this hotel when we stayed in it for a weekend away.
It is in a great location, only a minutes walk away from the nearest edgeware station, and close to many bus routes.
The staff here are great, will do anything to help you and are very polite etc.. they also have great knowledge of the city so if you are a visitor to the city that is a great aspect.
The room we stayed in was a king size double and was lovely, although we didnt have a great view the room itself was very comfy and luxurious.
Although we didnt eay any evening meals within the hotel our breakfast was included and was lovely. Great choise including full english, pastries, ceriels, fruits etc…
Would defaintly stay here again if i go back to london!

This hotel is huge - it has over 900 bedrooms and is now a purpoebuilt conference hotel. However the rooms are lovely , especially if you get one of the executive new ones - these are mainly 2 x double beds with nice duvets and very large rooms.
Top tip - if staying over the weeeknd, allow plenty of time for breakfast as the restaurant gets very busy and there can be queues to get in!

Being a rural girl, it has been a while since we stopped in a city. We attended the Hilton Metropole recently for a work conference. It has sufficient facilities to do the conference brilliantly, and we particularly loved the little row of booths at the back of the conference rooms, where the interpreters could sit and translate into your headsets.

Our son tried out the pool on a number of occasions and enjoyed himself tremendously. The ensuite was clean and comfortable, exactly as expected. It was son’s first experience of room service ever, and he was so excited. They were very patient on the phone as we made son ring up to place the order. The chap bringing in the meal was fabulous, and made the experience very special for our son. Generally the hotel was so big, and services so many people that we wouldn’t choose to stay in a place like it. However, it is very much staffed by kind-hearted and efficient humans once you get past the professional demeanour.

The area surrounding the hotel is buzzing and we probably saw more people in an hour than we usually see in a month at home!

great modern purpose built hilton. good rooms, clean and quality bathrooms, good service and plenty of amenities. the usual excellent hilton breakfast sets you up for a good day. didn’t have time for the pool or the executive lounge area, but next time…Bakerloo line tube right opposite got me to the office in 10 mins. only bad part is the not so nice neighborhood. Edgware Road has long been a bit down at heal, and Paddington basin is slowly improving, but given some huge roads running though the hood, its tough for it to have a quality feel.

After I had missed my last Eurostar back to Paris recently, the only hotel room i could get was at this hotel.
It is exactly what you would expect from a Hilton Hotel, ie nice, clean rooms, subtle luxury, etc. nothing special but reassuringly consistent.
Price was around 200 pounds which is not cheap but actually reasonable for a five star hotel in London...
