Yes it's expensive, You are paying nearly £50 a month in some cases.
But it is the best place in the town centre to go for the gym.
Eden is too far for me to get to in the mornings.

Yes it's the most expensive in town but you definitely get what you paying for and what you don't get is loads of tattooed, gurning freaks covered in gold chains as is the case in other clubs in town. I love the fact they open at 7 so I can unwind after a night shift with a steam, jacuzzi, sauna etc. All in very pleasant surrounds which generally they monitor well. The showers in the gents wet changing room leave a lot to be desired as do the lockers which, due to broken trays, drop your pound coin on the floor when you stick your key back in.
I have had two treatments here. One was a dual room back, shoulder, facials scrub and massage. It was very relaxing and very professionally done. The staff obviously know what they are on about. I have also had the £30 back shoulder and neck massage and it was the best I have ever had. She was very firm with me almost to the point of pain. Ahh but it was so good. If I were visiting town I would try and stay here just for the Spa.

This is a cool club. Everything under one roof with knowledgeable staff in the gym and experienced and professional therapists in the Spa. Classes are such fun, try Bodypump and Bodybalance for total body workouts….and whats more all classes are part of my membership…excellent!

The hotel is 4 star, but the health club is 5 star. I have been a member of lots of health club across the country and this is by far the best. The staff are friendly the members are also very friendly, the equipment is top notch, the place is always clean and classes are great particularly the spinning. No other club has everything so there is no competition. It is not the cheapest in town but it worth every penny. So if your thinking of joining a health club save your self the hassle of looking around just go to the Crown Spa.

I have been a member here since 2003 and I have throughly enjoyed every minute the staff are numerous and very knowledgable. The place is below a 4 star hotel and decorated to a high standard. The gym has an excellent gym area, pool, jacuzzi, two saunas, steam room and aroma room. The management also offer free WIFI with a coffee of which I am taking advantage of at the moment!
