Normal pub. Many big TV-screens. Can get really busy. Big enough (with beergarten) to find a quiet place in most cases.
Choice of drinks OK. Service OK. Mostly busy.

Underneath the railway arches near Tower Gateway can be found The Minories. This pub reminds me a bit of a Wetherspoons and although the beer is a bit more expensive than found in that chain, it’s still reasonable for the area and they do do (Da doo ron ron ron da doo ron ron) cheap food.
They serve a couple of real ales, but neither seemed in the best condition to be honest and I did hear a couple of vaguely negative comments regarding the food.
I have only been during the summer, but somehow the inside of the bar, without feeling too hot, is a sweaty place….is that humidity or something I guess? The little beer garden is probably the best place to be, despite the comfy looking sofas inside.
