Crowne Plaza Heidelberg City Centre

As a business traveller with special prices, I cannot say anything about the prices, because it wouldn't be a fair assessment, but I think the rooms are acceptable and to the star category appropriate. Modern and clean equipped, despite the many rooms, no noises on the hallways. Breakfast was typical for a hotel, I would have asked for more individuality, therefore only 4 stars, even though the aquarium in the hall sweetens the morning.

This morning we had brunch with friends and their little daughter in the Crowne Plaza in the restaurant West Coast. Every Sunday from 12pm they have a very tasty and hearty thematic brunch buffet (we had American brunch). Ranging from sweet things (rolls, jams, cereals, ...) and scrambled eggs with baked beans and bacon leading to spare ribs, salads, chicken legs, salmon fillets, beef steaks, fresh hamburgers. Finally, the dessert decoys with cakes, brownies, fruit salad, banana cream, etc. Everything is delicious and enough for the whole Sunday. Its not cheap with 25.50 EUR per person, but when you consider what is included in the buffet, then its worth it. Hot drinks and juices are included, as well as a pianist. It was well attended, so you should better book in advance!

The "Crowne Plaza" was a few years ago a "Holiday Inn" and changed towards the positive after the take over. Regarding to other reviews is the relaxing area really quiet and offers a pleasant stay. Like it was described in other reviews the place is not cheap and should be worth the money. I only had positive contact with the staff even though my last stay was a while ago.

Very pretty hotel in good location for the old town. When we stayed here there were many Asian (Chinese) tourists in the hotel who tarnished the ambiance a bit because of the constant filming and taking photos. But that's surely what we are all like on holidays! :-) Great breakfast and exemplary personnel.
